This is a rare Hand-thrown and carved Poole Delphis Ashtray that was only produced for a few months in 1966 just after they shifted from the Poole Studio range to the Poole Delphis Range (it has the blue dolphin back stamp from this period).

The glaze on it is in "orange peel" khaki colours but glimpses of the trademark delphis orange can be seen coming through some of the bubbles.

The ashtray is in excellent order with no chips or cracks. There is one glaze slip on the rim that can be seen in the photos. It is approx 6 inches across.
