The is a rare early Poole Atlantis Bowl that was produced when just Beatrice Bolton and Guy Sydenham were working on the range and before the shapes in the range were standardised (A good way of noting these early Atlantis pieces is that they are glazed on the base - something that was abandoned with production was increased).

Being before range was standardised, the bowl has non-standard dimensions-it's 6.5 inches across and 3.25 inches in height.

The glaze on it is fantastic with a tin glaze that bleeds the colour of the red clay overlaid with a spiral design in a thick iron oxide which as run and turned slightly green where it meets the white tin glaze.

The bowl is in perfect condition with no damage at all.
