Early Poole Studio Onion Vase
Poole Studio Vase - SOLD
£0.00Price
- Wonderful example of an early Studio onion vase (shape 10) decorated using the wax resist method and glazed with speckled green glaze similar to the later Sea Crest glaze. Produced in 1962-4, the vase has two round panels with more than a passing resemblance to the "planet" chargers that Tony Morris was producing in the studio at this time. These studio vases represent the peak of Poole's creative production are therefore rare and highly sought afrer today.
The vase is in very good condition but has a very small flea-bite on a top rim which you can see in the second photo.
The vase is 5 inches tall and 4.25 inches in diameter.
