This is an early Poole Studio Shape 3 plate (8 inches) with the TV mark. The glazing on thisis hard to photograph but it's like looking at a cross between a rockpool and a distant constellation.
 
There is no indication as to who painted it but it's in very good condition with no chips, cracks or restoration - although there is  very small nick in the footrim and some crazing in the glaze.
