This is an unusual hand-thrown and turned vase that dates from the Aegean period of the mid-1970s and has the same chestnut glaze that was used on many of the Aegean pieces. I have seen a few others like this but all seem to be slightly different so can only think that these pieces were produced as a studio vase live to accompany the standard Aegean shapes (similar to the studio Atlantis pieces that were produced about the same time).

The vase is 8.5 inches tall and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing.
