This is a wonderful Orrefors bowl designed by Simon Gate as part of a series that he produced for the Stockholm Exhibition in 1930.

It's pure art deco in style with a black glass base supporting a clear crystal bowl that has been hand blown and then formed into wavey form.

The base shows the pattern marks for Orrefors and Simon Gate.

The vase is 4.5 inches tall and 10.5 inches wide and is in in very good condition with no chips or cracks. There is some wear to the base and a couple of small patches of wear on the ridges near the bottom of the inside of the bowl.
